How to use Bookmark Share
Bookmark Share is a place to publish Chrome bookmark folders, discover what others are saving, and import useful collections into your own browser in one click.
What is this site?
Most bookmark folders stay trapped in one browser. Bookmark Share turns a folder into a shareable collection with a public page, a profile, and import stats.
Creators publish curated link lists for design, development, research, or any topic. Visitors can browse, search, and add those folders to Chrome without copying links one by one.
- Share folders from Chrome
- Discover collections on the web
- Import with one click
Step by step
- 1
Install the Chrome extension
Bookmark Share works with a Chrome extension that reads your bookmark folders.
During development, open chrome://extensions, enable Developer mode, and load the unpacked extension from apps/extension/dist.
Once published, you can install it from the Chrome Web Store.
- 2
Sign in with Google
Click Sign in on the website or Continue with Google in the extension popup.
We use Google OAuth so you can share collections under your own profile.
After your first sign-in, a username is created automatically from your email.
- 3
Share a bookmark folder
Open the extension popup, choose a folder from your Chrome bookmarks, and add a title, description, and hashtags.
Pick a visibility level: Public, Unlisted, or Private.
Click Share. The collection link is copied to your clipboard, and any open Bookmark Share tabs refresh so you can see it right away.
You can also click Share in the website header to open the extension popup directly.
- 4
Discover collections
The home page groups public collections by hashtag and ranks them by today's imports.
Use the search bar to find collections by title, description, or tag.
Visit a profile page at /u/username to see everything someone has shared publicly.
- 5
Import to Chrome
On any collection page, click Add to Chrome to copy the entire folder into your bookmarks.
The extension must be installed for one-click import. Without it, you can download an HTML file instead.
Imported folders keep the same structure as the original collection.
- 6
Manage your collections
Open a collection you own and click Edit in the top-right corner to change the title, description, tags, or visibility.
Your profile page shows all of your collections. Use the pencil icon on a card for quick edits.
Share again anytime from the extension when you want to publish a new folder.
Visibility options
- Public
- Listed on your profile, in search, and in home feed categories.
- Unlisted
- Anyone with the link can view it, but it won't appear in public listings.
- Private
- Only you can see it when signed in.
Ready to start?
